HubSpot is expanding its list of AI models connected to its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. Customers can now connect their databases to Anthropic’s Claude, allowing them to query data using natural language, generate visualizations, and take action—all within HubSpot. This is the second such connector the company has introduced, following the introduction of ChatGPT “deep research” in June.
“The HubSpot connector makes Claude more useful for our customers by grounding its responses in real context from their business,” Karen Ng, HubSpot’s executive vice president and its head of product, remarks in a statement. “It’s a simple, powerful way to get insights you can trust, wherever you work. And it’s another step in making advanced AI accessible to every business.”

By integrating Claude into its CRM ecosystem, HubSpot is providing small- and mid-sized businesses with greater flexibility to work with their preferred AI models, enabling them to analyze proprietary data and take action more quickly. “By being first to market with these connectors, we’re giving our customers immediate access to the leading frontier models and paired with the full context of their HubSpot CRM,” Ng tells me. “Over half of our 250,000 customers use multiple LLMs. HubSpot’s connector for Claude helps these customers unlock insights they can’t get anywhere else—like why deals are lost or where their funnel is underperforming—and act on those insights in HubSpot to close gaps and grow faster.”
When asked about HubSpot’s plans to add more models, she stated that more information will be shared when they’re ready. She also declined to share any information about what the company has learned from its ChatGPT integration. However, Colin Johnson, the senior manager of CRM at Youth Enrichment Brands, remarks in a statement, “The HubSpot connector is like having an extra analyst on the team, empowering sales reps to identify risks, opportunities, and next best actions. For a non-technical user, the fact that it’s easy to use and talks directly to my data is huge.”
And while this may be Claude’s first official CRM connector, it’s not the first time it has accessed HubSpot data. Back in May, HubSpot launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that allowed Claude to use CRM data to inform its responses. The significant difference here is that now there’s a consumer-facing AI available for HubSpot versus middleware.
Among the many promises that HubSpot says Claude can do for customers:
- Help marketing teams identify contacts who opened a recent email campaign but didn’t click through, and produce a pie chart to support follow-up segmentations
- Provide the sales team with an active deals summary with names, amounts, and stages, sorted by closing date
- Give support representatives a list of open tickets assigned to them, but sorted by priority and creation date
The HubSpot connector can be used by any customer with a paid Claude subscription (e.g., Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). The company asserts that security policies limit users to accessing only the CRM data they’re permitted to in HubSpot. Furthermore, HubSpot states that data will only be used in “certain instances” (e.g., customer feedback or by opting into training) to train Anthropic’s models.
