In my weekly encounters, there are typically one or two events that I will peruse and maybe even a few conferences here and there. Often I find myself with my camera snapping photos and posting them onto Flickr under Creative Commons, specifically non-commercial, non-derivative and atrribution licensing. To see where these photographs appear, I enlist at least two basic tools in my research – one being Flickr’s referral statistics and the second being a Google Alert search query.
All of this has miraculously paid off today with an alert notifying me that at least several of my photos have appeared in two publications (adhering to Creative Commons):
