While riding on the subway to work today, I happened to come across an interesting “side” article in the abbreviated version of the Washington Post (it’s called “express”)…
The article headine reads “A Residential Election” and the point of the story is that a Florida couple allowed total strangers, family, and friends, to place their vote on the couple’s website on which home they should buy among 250 cities. Now, this isn’t something where the most vote wins, but rather the first home to receive 1 million votes would be declared the winner. According to the article, 5 million votes were cast and now the couple has moved to Denver thanks to their site visitors. Will the fun stop there? Of course not…the couple will write about their experiences for the next year and maybe they will wind up conducting a poll once again…
