The AI Economy is an independent newsletter for people who want honest, reported analysis of how artificial intelligence is changing business and work. Launched in 2024, it has grown to more than 3,000 readers across LinkedIn and Substack, including readers from Microsoft, Salesforce, Amazon, ServiceNow, SAP, and Adobe.
The newsletter grew out of a simple professional reality: AI was becoming the defining story in technology, and covering it piecemeal wasn’t enough. The AI Economy acts as an extension of my reporting, allowing me to go deeper in the space beyond the press release cycle, and to stay visible as a journalist with a distinct point of view on one of the most consequential shifts in business and work in a generation.
The AI Economy publishes on both LinkedIn and Substack, with each platform serving a different reader need. On LinkedIn, it follows a traditional newsletter structure, with a lead story or two, followed by a curated roundup of the week’s most significant AI headlines. New issues are published on Fridays. For Substack, where readers opt in for longer reads, issues take the form of long-form analysis, reported essays, and breaking enterprise news.
Coverage spans the full range of AI’s impact, from enterprise platforms and product strategy to workforce transformation, economic implications, and the gap between vendor claims and on-the-ground reality.
The AI Economy also has a presence on Flipboard, where a dedicated magazine reaches more than 40,000 readers. There, I curate a running selection of the most significant AI stories, alongside original coverage from my newsletter—extending its reach beyond the inbox.
